Elsa is on hold pending adoption.

Meet Elsa a 2 year old German Shepherd female who was seized from a property along with her two puppies. She was living in a compound and was initially very wary of people and other dogs. This is perfectly understandable as she was protecting her young and she just was not used to the outside world.

Since she has come into care she has proven to be the most adorable girl with lots of love and affection to give. Elsa is now available for adoption and is a playful, house trained and very affectionate young girl. Else is currently in a foster care home at Hornsby and is sharing her home with a desexed male shepherd and they are the best of mates. Elsa is tolerant and loving with this older male Shepherd.

So Elsa is fine with other dogs but does need to realise that not all other dogs want to play as she does.

Elsa is however, perfect in the house and has not chewed or destroyed anything. She does love her toys but sadly at first she didn't really know what they were. She has now realised they are the best fun and she has several favourites.

Elsa is a very special girl and where ever she goes she attracts lots of loving attention and she of course laps that up. This special girl needs a very special home where she is given plenty of attention and will be given obedience training. She has had no lead training although we are working on that. She will sit if asked after a fashion but any new owner needs to be prepared to start from the beginning with her education. She is very gentle and responds well to a gentle calm voice so she would not suit a home with people who do not know the breed and therefore do not know how to train them.

She is a very soft girl and hardly barks so please do not expect her to guard. She is untested with children but her soft nature and gentle ways we can see she would be fine around dog savvy children.
