About Doris - a real sweetheart
Doris is a sweet girl who just wants to please you and play with you. She loves children and is currently in care with an 11 and 5 year old.
She can be quite an active and inquisitive dog so would suit someone who wants a dog to continue obedience and will exercise her regularly.
As she is a working breed she loves to play and chase toys but is also happy and content to just lounge around if you're at work waiting for play time when you get home.
Doris is toilet trained, crate trained and follows command, particularly on tone. And knows not to barge through the door the minute you open it.
She is cat friendly but will chase them if they run.
Doris does get anxiety whilst on lead and out on walks, so she needs an owner who is confident and she knows she can trust to be in control of her surroundings. She needs to trust that when out of the house walking, other dogs won't rush up to her and scare her. If this was to happen it will trigger an aggressive response from her and she will bark and growl and sometimes show her teeth at the approaching dog.
She is super friendly and playful but scared of other dogs at first.
A home with a large yard to play fetch would be heaven for Doris. She truley is a beautifully sweet natured girl and it has been a pleasure having Doris stay with us.
Doris is in foster care in Wallan
