Watson

Watson is a 10 year old corgi x blue heeler. He has a beautiful soft black and white coat, and short, stumpy corgi legs. He is super charming and has big brown eyes that communicate his thoughts, usually something about "Where's my breakfast?" or "Do you want to pat me?".

When he came into care he took a while to warm up, he was also a little anxious on walks and would run into gardens and sit down when things got a bit too much. With a little love and patience he has come along in leaps and bounds and now loves his walks and coming inside to lie in front of the heater on his back.

He is a quiet little man, who we have only heard bark once, and that was because he was super excited about heading out for a walk.
He is an easy going dog and happy inside or outside. He enjoys his pats and will give your hand a nudge if he thinks you stopped patting him a bit too quick.

He sleeps through the night and is completely house trained.
He currently lives with a large breed dog and they get along well. He has also been approached by some enthusiastic dogs in the park and has been very passive. He would enjoy a doggy friend to live with in the future as he likes the company.

Watson likes to do his own thing on a walk - he does not like to be forced to do things and will stop if pulled. The best way to get him to keep going is to give him verbal encouragement and he will come along.
Watson would be good in a house where he gets to go out each day for a stroll - not too long as he is an older gentleman. He would be ok with his humans working full time as he uses that time to sleep, but he does like being included in the home once you return from work so being able to come inside then would be ideal.

Watson deserves a home where he is spoilt and gets to live out his retirement years with good food, lots of pats and a nice comfy bed.
