Introducing Ziva!
If you are looking for a funny little pal with lots of personality, then look no further than Ziva. This little girl is a cutie patootie with a real zest for life.
Little Ziva is one of Safe Haven’s miracle babies. Rescued at the age of 5 weeks, this little munchkin was non responsive and on the verge of death. After being admitted to the pet emergency room for 48 hours, Ziva has spent the last 14 weeks healing and blossoming into a healthy and delightful little pup. Now she is ready for adoption and is on the lookout for an amazing forever home.
Ziva’s ideal forever home is one with hoomans committed to her socialisation and training. Maremma owners or hoomans with experience/good understanding of the breed are ideal. Ziva is confident and independent but really needs a home with one other dog for company (and to keep her out of mischief). An active home is a must for Ziva as she really enjoys daily walks and loves regular trips to the creek/beach.
This little lady isn’t your typical Maremma. While she barks every now and then, she doesn’t have a guarding instinct and therefore is not suited to being a working dog. She is, however, 110% suited to being an awesome pet and companion dog. Ziva is a smart girl and has just the right amount of sass and cheek. She loves playing with hoomans, dogs and her toys.
At 19 weeks of age, Ziva knows all her basic commands and is toilet trained. Being a puppy, she does have the odd toilet accident so needs a family who are patient and understanding. She socialises really well with other dogs (big and small) and walks well on the lead. Ziva has excellent recall, which makes visits to the creek a breeze. This little cutie also sleeps through the night and only gets on the hooman bed when invited (for cuddles and kisses in the morning).
Little Ziva wants you to know she has a very mild case of hip dysplasia. Our visits with the Canine Orthopaedic Surgeon confirm this is not serious, however, it may mean Ziva is prone to getting a wee bit of arthritis when she is older. Ziva certainly runs, swims and jumps just like any other puppy. You’d be none the wiser if she hadn’t asked us to tell you.
This little lady draws the attention of admirers everywhere she goes and will definitely make one family very happy upon adoption.
Medical notes
Ziva has been diagnosed with mild Hip Dysplacia. Her Hip Dysplacia may worsen over time or lead to early onset arthritis when older.
