About Oscar ~ 1yo Border Collie (On Trial 16/11/16)
Hi, I’m Oscar and I am a beautiful 12 month old blonde Border Collie boy. I get along well with children, dogs and even cats.
I am a very active boy and I love playing with toys, visiting the dog park or playing Frisbee at the beach. I love playing with water and I will even get in the shower. I particularly love cuddles, doggie massages and talking and really just want to be a part of the family all the time.
I am very smart – I can sit, lay down, come when called, play fetch (and return) and I am also toilet trained. I am quick to learn new tricks or commands, because I just want to please. I am very loving & affectionate, loyal to my humans and I will follow them everywhere if allowed.
I am looking for a perfect forever family who are active and will take me for long walks, include me in their family activities and have a large yard for me to play in with secure six foot fencing. I also need a dog friend so I have a playmate. I don't like being left alone every day so someone who is at home mostly or works from home is preferred. I am ok on my own for short periods of time.
I will also need a family who are committed to giving me consistent ongoing training. I am super smart, love to learn and I get bored easily if not stimulated with different challenges or new tricks and commands.
I am very special so my foster mummy will not just let me go to anyone, unless all of the above criteria can be met and I will be given a loving home forever.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
