About Freddie ~ Pomeranian x Jack Russell (20/09/16)
Freddie is a 1-year-old male Pomeranian X Jack Russell. He has an infectiously happy disposition and is great with kids, cats and other dogs. He is house trained, sleeps inside and settled into our home and family very quickly.
Freddie spends all his time playing with my kids (6yrs & 9yrs) and my 2 dogs. He often picks up toys and offers them to my kids and the other dogs, enticing them to play. Freddie especially loves squeaky toys and will excitedly chase any toy or ball you throw for him.
Freddie is an indoor dog who needs access to a backyard during the day and preferably a playmate and a family who will include him in their daily lives. He would benefit from some basic training. He is very food orientated with an inquisitive and smart personality, which would be easy to take advantage of, to train him with food rewards. In his first week with me he quickly learnt to sit. He enjoys gnawing bones, pig ears and other healthy chew treats - a great way to keeping his teeth in good condition.
Freddie walks well on a harness as a collar and lead alone causes to much pull on his neck. He is usually well behaved in the car when going for a drive and is not bothered when he sees other dogs while you are out and about.
For more information or to meet Freddie, please contact Jaime by email jaihol@bigpond.com or on 0410 491 882, leaving a message with a name and contact details.
Freddie is in foster care in Maryland, NSW (Lake Macquarie) and is available for adoption interstate. Freddie’s adoption fee is $400 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
