About Pixie ~ 6yo Shi Tzu X girl (on trial 1/10/16)
Let me introduce you to sweet little Pixie who is six years old. Pixie is a cream Shih Tzu cross girl, who loves tummy rubs and cuddles.
Although she is really tiny (weighing only 4kg), Pixie is personality plus and delights in playing with her toys. Nothing makes her happier than to go for walks which she does with style, never pulling.
Pixie would be most suited to a quiet home with no other dogs and a family that is mostly at home to spoil her!
Pixie has a soft coat that does not shed. She will need regular brushing and a trip to the groomers every three months to keep her pretty.
Pixie has suffered from occasional fits that are easily managed and at the moment are rare. Her medication is easily given morning and night and is quite low in cost.
Little Miss Pixie has a lot of love to give to the family who can give her a warm and loving home!
For more information or to meet Pixie, please contact her foster carer Anne by emailing anne_mccondach_3@hotmail.com. Pixie is located in Abermain, NSW (west of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Pixie's adoption fee is $450 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
