About Honey ~Golden Oldie~
Meet Honey!
(Please note: Honey is currently on foster care so we will require a few days notice when making an appointment to meet her, so we can arrange for her to be transported back to the shelter)
What is a golden oldie?
A golden oldie is an older guinea pigs from 4 years an up guinea pigs can live between 5 and 9 years of age. Many people want to get young guinea pigs but young or old they still need a home. Can you give a golden oldie a loving home.
Honey is incredibly cute with a personality to match she is outgoing, inquisitive and very friendly, she loves her cuddles
Honey can be adopted on her own to be friends with another female guinea pig or she can be adopted with one of the other female guinea pigs available for adoption at the shelter..
She would make fantastic family pets!
Please opt to adopt
Medical notes
Honey has a very old eye injury from her younger days which has left her completely blind in one eye.
The injury has healed very well though and course Honey no pain.
__________________________________________________________
We suspect she may have ovarian cysts but due to her age and as she is not showing any signs of being in any pain it was decided not to go ahead with surgery, as the chances of her surviving such a surgery to remove them is very slim due to her age.
We would rather her live out her days pain free then put her through such an invasive surgery.
