Ace

Introducing Ace! This goofball is an 18 month old Labrador and even though his coat is black, if we had to pick which ace he would be in a deck of cards - it would definitely be the ace of diamonds as this boy is a real gem!

He is a beautiful boy and in typical lab style is always happy and ready to play. He loves a game of fetch and will always retrieve the ball and drop them at your feet or gently give it back to you ready for another go!

Ace will sit and wait for his food and even though he loves to get out and about for his walks, will also sit patiently while his harness and lead are attached. He does get a little excited when he first starts his walk and can pull a little on the lead - however with positive training, we believe that this will improve.

Food is one of Ace's favourite things and he can be a gulper, therefore his diet should be watched closely to avoid obesity. We suggest a go slow bowl may help him with his this. As he does love his food, this will make him very easy to train when using food as a reward and a Kong or similar when left alone to keep his mind occupied.

Ace loves people of all shapes and sizes, however due to his size and exuberance, small children should be supervised around him. He has no aggression whatsoever, but his love of everyone could potentially mean a child is knocked over accidentally. Ace is very eager to learn his manners and holding up a finger and telling him to sit will get his attention every time - especially if you are holding a small treat!

A trip to the local dog park will amuse Ace for hours as he loves loves loves other dogs and can't wait to meet new doggy friends.

Ace is looking for a forever home where he can be included in every day family activities and ideally with a playmate of around the same size. He loves all dogs, however he doesn't realise his size and strength and may play a little rough for smaller dogs and cats. He doesn't like to be left alone for extended periods of time and will look for an escape route if he is left alone for too long. However, if you are a part time worker or have another dog as a playmate for him, he will be fine.

He will require regular exercise and 6' fencing to ensure his safety.

Ace's adoption fee is $350 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and lifetime registration. Ace is also regularly treated for flea and worms.
