About Knuckles
**We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at http://www.maggiesrescue.org/adoption-enquiry-dogs. Please use this link rather than the 'find out more' button on the pet's PetRescue profile.**
Beautiful black lab Knuckles is a super-sweet senior gentleman. He loves cuddles, playtime with his teddy, paddling in water and long romantic walks!
Knuckles is very well-behaved on his lead and also off the lead at the park. He is a very affectionate fellow who LOVES the company of other dogs.
MY IDEAL HOME: ... would have a big yard, a doggy friend of a similar age, and lots of kisses and bones. I was always kept outside in my former life, but I am very much getting the hang of being an indoor couch potato as my foster mum potters around during the day (though I sleep happily in my outdoor kennel at night).
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I'm an old fellow but I still have plenty of energy. Don't get me wrong, I'm not jumping around like a young buck but I love my walks! I have lost a bit of my excess weight since coming into foster care, but I have a few more kilos to go.
One big walk per day or a few little ones make me a very happy boy. (Don't worry though, if you don't feel like a walk every single day it wont bother me too much, either.)
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I am happy and comfortable around gentle children, but I can be overwhelmed by big groups of kids making a lot of noise.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I love to be around other dogs! I enjoy saying hello to them with a happy waggy tail at the park and while I'm out on a walk. I think I would like to live with a canine companion again if possible.
I haven't properly met any cats, but I see them on my walks and to be honest they don't even register. I think I could probably live with confident cats who are used to dogs. I am also indifferent to chickens and pocket pets.

Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at http://www.maggiesrescue.org/adoption-enquiry-dogs. Please use this link rather than the 'find out more' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in adopting.
Maggie's wants this to be a good experience for you, and we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of this period we will transfer the microchip to your details and the adoption is complete.
Your pet is a Maggie's Pet for Life, please consider this before adopting.
