Sampson

I’m Sampson, I’m a fairly typical young Great Dane who wants lots of company and play time. I'm getting loads of gold stars with my training which has only just started while I'm in foster care. Did you know it's not polite to step all over your human? Well I do now and I've learnt heaps of other ways to show you how much I love you by being a good boy. I'd like to be with someone who can continue to remind me and teach me how to be the best behaved boy.

I've been meeting all kinds of new dogs in foster care but I'm still quite new to it. This means my owner will need to introduce me slowly and keep me safe on the lead when out walking. I’ve been living on a really big block but I think I could also be happy in suburbia as I don’t need to run all day, I just need good company and a good hour devoted to my walk and training each day. I think I'd prefer to be the only dog but it all depends on the possible companion.

I’m a natural guard dog, not only because I’m big but I always announce to my humans when visitors are arriving. I actually love people. I’m not shy or timid and not even too boisterous, ok well not after my walk at least. I’m happy to share the love with some kids, some of my favourite people have been the small kind. I've lived next door to horses and I don’t mind them one bit, I bark at the lizards and have been known to chase rabbits.
