About Oscar (Dog Friendly)
Meet Oscar a gorgeously sweet German Shepard Dog x Kelpie Mix of 6 mths of age. Oscar was saved by Wally's Doggie Rescue from a country pound.
As a pet, the GSD will demand a lot of your time. It is a highly intelligent breed and requires a great deal of mental stimulation. The GSD will develop a very close bond with his handler and will want to be with him/her as much as possible. They will accept children if the children give them respect and do not torment them. Although this breed of dog does need a lot of attention, he will give back one hundred fold with loyalty and incorruptible guarding skills. On the other hand, if you do not take the time to socialize and train a GSD, there will be problems with self-confidence and unruliness mix this with the Kelpie who is a working dog that demands a great deal of exercise, preferably with some kind of job to do. Their energy levels are high. They are workaholics and will run until they drop, then run some more. They need to be taken on long daily walks and make an excellent jogging companion. The kelpie is a tough, independent, highly intelligent dog that is extremely loyal. They are very obedient and are exceptionally alert.
Mixing these two breeds together, and you have the handsome Oscar. Oscar has had no formal training and has picked up SIT and how to walk on a lead surprising well. Wally's is going to kickstart Oscar's training, at Wyong Dog Training Club and provide 3 FREE dog training sessions. So please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and Oscar.

Adoption details
Wally's Doggie Rescue offers a 2 week trial period to ALL pups/dogs adopted by us. We give ongoing support to our adopters through a CLOSED FACEBOOK page where you can ask training questions, share your photos and chat to other people who have adopted a Wally's Doggie rescue animal. Wally's Dog Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family and allow their dogs inside of the home on a regular basis to ensure that they are part of the family. This is particulary so if they are to be an only dog.
When enquiring about OSCAR, please give us some indication of the type of home that he would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home (rental agreement to be sited), what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you. Wally's Doggie Rescue would also arrange a yard check of your property or have photos/videos sent of your yard, to ensure your yard is fully fenced and adequate shelter is provided.
