About Zeke ~ Pomeranian (on hold 28/08/16)
Zeke is a happy and playful 2 year old Pomeranian who would love to be part of your family.
If you’ve ever dreamed of having a border collie in your life but don’t have the room, Zeke would be perfect for you. He has much more in common with a working breed than the traditional Pomeranian lap dog.
Zeke is an indoor dog that needs access to a backyard during the day, and preferably someone who is regularly at home. He would be best suited to a family with an active lifestyle who will include him in all of their activities. He needs regular daily exercise to keep him happy and would be an ideal walking/hiking/jogging buddy. This charming little guy is fantastic with other dogs and would prefer a playmate to keep him company and be silly with.
He has an inquisitive personality and is extremely smart. Zeke would benefit from some basic obedience training to help curb some of his less desirable behaviours like stealing shoes and alert barking. He is not a picky eater so will be easy to reward when being a good boy. I would definitely keep a supply of bones and chew toys available, as he really enjoys gnawing on something tasty.
Zeke is beautifully behaved when going for a drive, a day out at the park, or for a puppychino at the local café. He absolutely loves the beach and is a real water baby. This handsome boy is a total sweetheart who will gratefully soak up all of your love, have a belly rub, chill out and snuggle on the couch. He just wants to be your best friend.
His gorgeous double coat will require frequent grooming to keep shedding to a minimum. He loves kids, but being a small breed he is not recommended for very young children. He is in excellent health and is a happy sweet little guy.
For more information or to meet Zeke, please contact Tara on 0423 668 499 or email tararescues@gmail.com. Zeke is in foster care near Speers Point, NSW (Lake Macquarie) and is available for adoption interstate.
Zeke's adoption fee is $500 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
