ABOUT RUTHIE: Ruthie, a staff favourite, is a sweet older lady who loves getting patted and adores the company of people! She is a super affectionate and smoochy cat who loves nothing more than a comfy lap to snuggle up on. Ruthie is a purring machine; she purrs like crazy when she is patted, brushed and even while sleeping and eating! Just the mere presence of a human will often be enough to set her into purring mode.

HOW SHE ENDED UP AT GAWS: Ruthie was found wandering the streets by a member of the public who took her to their local vet; unfortunately she didn’t have a microchip so her owners were unable to be contacted. Ruthie was transferred to GAWS and sadly no one ever came looking for her!

IDEAL HOME: Ruthie is not overly fond of other cats or dogs so she is seeking a home where she can be the sole animal companion in the household. If you adopt this lovely lady you will be rewarded with a never ending supply of cuddles and healing purrs, and all she asks for in return is plenty of food, a warm bed and lots of affection!
