About Omega *On Trial in His New Home*
*OMEGA IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Meet Omega!! He’s a big, solid, puppy searching for a loving forever home. He's after a forever home who will help him reach his full potential; will it be with you?
Surrendered with one sister and three brothers as a tiny puppy Omega has grown and grown - he is now a bouncy, bowl-you-over-soft, playful beast with huge paws!
Omega came into care as an inquisitive pup and quickly orientated himself to the household routine. In foster care he shares residence with a grumpy old Jack Russell, whom he treats with the utmost respect and admiration even when it comes to dinner time, a sprightly Chihuahua whom he plays with all day long (though Omega could use a larger companion as rough play has resulted in squashed Chihuahua!) and a dopey, affectionate cat with which Omega lazily basks in the sun. Omega spends most afternoons on runs with his teenage carer who affectionately wrestles with him every day when she greets him after school, so Omega would be suited to a family with older children and/or someone who can actively engage in his exercise.
His carer says that of the eleven dogs she’s fostered Omega is one of those who intuitively connects - this pup knows what a ‘look’ means. When brought indoors and onto the couch Omega considers himself a lapdog and feels free and unquestioningly welcome to sprawl wherever he likes completely overlooking the objects or people around him - pushing and poking can’t save you as Omega remains undeterred!
He will grow into a medium to large sized dog and will benefit from further training. He is taught best through love and praise after getting something right, but treats will work fine too! Omega has learnt to walk on a lead fairly well and immediately responds to the command “sit”. When tied up, while his carer goes into the shop, he is a little anxious though with patience, praise and food rewarded for his good behaviour we know he is smart and will calm down and quickly adopt lovely manners.
With his working dog genes Omega will require regular exercise and stimulation in a home where he can continue to enjoy an indoor / outdoor lifestyle and be part of the household goings on. He’d be quite content to be an only dog so long as his humans weren’t at work for long hours then he’d love a playful doggie friend for company.
If you think you’ve got the time, patience and love to continue bringing up lovable Omega then please download and complete a SARG Dog Application form by following this link: http://www.sarg.net.au/adopt-a-pet.html

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
