About “Danny”, The Champion of the World. Melbourne
If being a pet greyhound was an Olympic event, Danny would be a champion! His foster carers say it’s hard to describe how wonderful Danny is, he’s just fitted into home life so easily. Danny’s being fostered in an inner-city apartment, and is adapting beautifully to city life. He’s the kind of gentleman who likes to greet everyone politely in the street (even small dogs), and loves going to cafes or pubs where he can meet new people!
Danny is a bright boy and eager to please. He already knows his name, a few commands, and is toilet trained (currently four toilet outings per day). He’d probably enjoy having another dog to play with, or may be ok alone with a little training but still with plenty of human company during the day. Danny is relatively low-energy for a three-year-old, and prefers shorter walks to long ones.
Apart from some occasional cardboard destruction, Danny has excelled at every aspect of being a pet. He has a silky black coat just right for stroking, a white patch on his chest that he loves getting rubbed, and an extra-long nose which is perfect for nuzzling his people. He’s a big boy, but if you don’t have a bed long enough, that’s ok – he likes placing his teddy bear at the end of his bed, as a bed-extender! Danny will fit in almost anywhere, as long as he gets plenty of love.
