About Dexter
** DEXTER **
Dexter is a 14 week old bull arab x who has been in care with HNE for a couple of weeks. He's now ready to start searching for his forever family…
Dex is a big boy who quickly earned the nickname "Dextersaurus" thanks to his size! We know his mum was a large bull arab, but we aren't sure about his dad. Based on the size of Dex's paws, it's likely dad was a dinosaur!
Despite his size, Dex is a gentle, well-mannered puppy who is loving life in his foster family. If he's not having a puppy nap or entertaining himself with one of his toys, then he can usually be found romping around with his staffy foster-sister. Dex also loves to hang out with his foster parents, either snuggling up with them on the couch or hanging out quietly nearby so he can watch what they're doing.
Dex's basic training is progressing well. He's fully crate trained, sleeps through the night, knows how to use a dog door and is building up a repertoire of sign language. He now knows good boy, no, sit, down, stay and drop. He's a clever boy who is eager to please!
While Dex is a gentle giant, he's also still a puppy who can sometimes get a little bouncy. As such, he's best suited to a home with older children (8+). He'd also love a family where he has a friendly canine companion to play with and a family that will remain committed to his ongoing training.
Dex's adoption fee is $320. This covers desexing, vaccination and microchipping. Dex is up-to-date with his flea/tick and worm treatment.
Dex is currently located in Canberra. Interstate adoption is available, with transport costs payable by the adopter.

Adoption details
Hear No Evil's Adoption process:
1st Step * You contact us to obtain an adoption application, and discuss the dog of interest.
Once the application is completed and returned it will be assessed for suitability.
2nd Step * A Meet and Greet with the dog and all members of the adopting family and and current dogs is arranged where possible.
This usually coincides with a Yard check to ensure the safety and security of the property on which the dog will be kept. - We understand that this is not always possible in interstate adoptions and this will be discussed on your initial contact.
3rd Step *Payment of the Adoption fee in full. The dog is then handed over with any belongings, and all relevant paperwork and records.
Transport arrangements are the financial responsibility of the Adopting party. Hear No Evil are happy to assist with departure preparations and ensuring the dog makes its transport connection.
Final step * Once the 14 day 'settling in' period has ended, the change of ownership microchip details are submitted, and the adoption is officially finalised.
