River is a beautiful boy, loves a cuddle and loves to be out and about with humans, he is good with all animals but must be supervised with other dogs until they get to know each other.
He will require more training but knows his basics sit, wait and recall is better, shakes paws. Is cautious of new people and would be best placed in an experienced home. If you are looking for your next buddy or trick dog, River may be the dog for you.

Hi my name is River and as you can see im a very handsome boy. I love to shake paws and have cuddles from humans. Im cautious of new people but once i get to know you im ok. Im good with other animals like cats, chickens and horses. Initially I require strict supervision when meeting new dogs, I wasn't well socialised when I was younger but I'm proven very capable of making friends with other dogs when i get to know them. In my foster home you can see me asking Frankie if she will be my girlfriend, she said yes!!
I love running around with my friends on the farm.

OUR ADOPTION PROCESS
1. You see a dog you like.
2. Fill in our online adoption form by clicking here or on our website. Be sure to include any questions you may have on our adoption form. This form does not obligate you to adopt, it simply gives us an idea of your situation and needs.

3. If your are successful, one of our volunteers will contact you to organise a meet and greet at your home and conduct a yard check at the same time.
4. Should all go to plan, you will be welcomed to start your 2 week trial period immediately. Adoption fee will be required to be paid at the beginning of the trial period.
During the 2 week trial period, should you decide that this dog is not for you, you are welcome to return the dog (the more notice the better, to ensure we have a foster carer available) and your payment will be retunded to you in full, within 3 business days of the return of the dog.

We are a volunteer run organisation, who have their own jobs during the day, we don't have someone manning our phones 24/7, therefore cannot respond to all inquiries immediately. The fastest way to have your questions answered is to include it in the application form. This will speed up your application with us, and help us communicate with you faster.
Please be patient with us, as the unpredictable nature of rescue may prevent us from clearing all enquiries regularly.
