About Lennie Gladstone
Please note: Lennie will be rehomed to an adult family as an only dog as he adores his people so much he wants all the attention for himself.
Lennie is a very affectionate and loyal dog. He is happy to stare adoringly at you and wag his tail crazily. He rests when you rest, but if you are up and about, he will also be active with you. He loves exploring the outdoors, a good long walk/run and will happily chase balls, although doesn't always bring them back. Due to his curious nature, he has a tendency to pull on the lead when he finds something interesting, however, he does respond to a firm no and gentle restraint.
Lennie loves to interact with new dogs but doesn't like puppies that jump or dogs that are overly playful or dominant. Lennie adores any human who will pet him and give him attention, and will always be excited to see you but will not jump up or lick you.
An ideal home for Lennie would be where someone is home for most of the day and as Lennie doesn't like to be left alone for long periods of time. Lennie would love a backyard with room to run and play. He won't adjust to a house with cats/chickens/birds as he does have a tendency to chase them.
On his own, he likes to spend time gazing out the window, running around the backyard, and sitting patiently by your side waiting for loving pats. Lennie responds well to sit, stay and shake and is in the process of understanding drop. He is a very fast learner so will pick up new tricks quickly.
Lennie is a true delight. Will you be the one to win his heart?
Lennie is located in Bendigo.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you too as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
