About Dexter ~ Border Collie x Kelpie (On Trial 8/1/17)
Dexter is a 7 year old Border Collie x Kelpie. Dexter was a companion dog when he was younger and loves human company - he is great with people and children!
Dexter is a loving, loyal, beautiful boy who loves to play with a ball and adores attention. He is so well trained: He's smart, intelligent, very well mannered, obedient and house-trained. He is used to being outside during the day but loves being part of the family and must be allowed to sleep inside at night.
Dexter needs a back yard where he has some space to run around in. He has lived with another dog in the past but will need introductions to any new dog that he lives with.
He really is a beautiful boy, just needs some time to put a little bit of training into him and we will be rewarded tenfold. One of DRN's trainers is happy to work with Dexter if we can find his forever home in the Newcastle area.
For more information or to meet Dexter, please contact Donna on 0466 099 426 or email trudgetty@hotmail.com. Dexter is in foster care in the Newcastle area NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Dexter's adoption fee is $200 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
