About Snowy ~ Maltese (on trial 29/08/16)
Snowy is a 3.5 year old Maltese. He is a beautiful boy with loads of love to give.
Snowy’s favourite thing ever is his walks he just loves to run free, the happiness is all over his precious little face when we are at the park. He absolutely loves the beach and is very friendly and playful to all the other dogs we meet along our way. Sadly Snowy put on too much weight with his previous carer, so he is on a diet. He has lost 1.5kgs in 4 weeks so it’s coming off. So his new people would have to commit to 1 or( 2 would be better )walks a day, not only to make snowy the happiest pooch ever but to continue helping his weight loss. He had surgery when he was young on his back leg so 40 min at a time is enough but it’s important.
Snowy is great with kids and women but is petrified of men. This would have to be worked on with him. He is very scared of all men from teenagers up. He is living with his foster mum and 2 teenage boys and a foster dad, so his getting used to men. Snowy has quite a bit of anxiety, his scared of loud noises and any sudden movements. HHHHMMMM he sounds like hard work and his NOT but he will need someone who is willing to protect him, love him, nurture him and work with his anxiety.
He lives with 4 other dogs at the moment and loves all of them. He is happy to just hang around through the day and does not cry or bark when left. When its bed time he goes to his bed and does not move all night. Snowy is fully toilet trained as his an inside dog. He likes to be inside with you and is left inside through day with access to the yard. He is such a special guy who will melt your heart with his big eyes and cheeky fun ways.
He currently has weekly baths and he loves his bath loads, his coat needs regular brushing and clipping about every 6 weeks to keep him looking as beautiful as he does now.
So if you are prepared to put a little bit of effort in with Mr Snowy boy the love and dedication you will receive back will be something words cannot describe. This guy has a very special part of my heart, his absolutely adorable.
For more information or to meet Snowy, please contact his foster carer Carolyn on 0404 874 136 or email Carolyn@tradeserv.com.au. Snowy is in foster care in Lake Macquarie, NSW (south of Newcastle) Due to his anxiety his not available for adoption interstate.
Snowy’s adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
