About Walter (Dog Friendly/Child Exposure)
Walter is a stunning 14 week Wolf hound x, a heart throb who loves to be by your side. He is currently in a home with three other dogs; his brother, Miles, and his two foster siblings; a Great Dane cross and a Kelpie. He loves his foster brother and sister to bits, and plays so beautifully with the big dogs. Whilst he does not live with children, he has child exposure and has been very respectful around them. Walter has not had exposure to pocket pets, however with the right training and introduction, we feel as though he would be great around these little creatures.
Walter came into care underweight, and whilst he does not show any signs of food aggression, he is still learning that his next snack isn't too far away. Walter hasn't displayed any obvious fears as of yet; he is confident with other dogs and incredibly playful. He LOVES to play tug 'o' war with his brother, and has great attending skills when training with his foster Mum.
Walter is currently sleeping in the laundry with a warm bed, his brother and a teddy. He sleeps through the night and is content with his current sleeping arrangement.
Walter has learnt in a short time to SIT, COME, DROP, ROLL OVER, WALK on a LEAD in the backyard and is TOILET TRAINED inside the HOME (and doing very well!). The ideal family for Walter is one that can provide him life's simple luxuries; unconditional love, a warm place to sleep at night, patients to train him and preferably a home where someone is home during the day or at least, have another dog in the home. Walter wants to be apart of the family. Coming from a large litter, he may become lonely, and prefers the company of others. He will loved to be taken on daily walks and just be by your side. He is a clever boy with a lot of potential.
Walter is due for desexing on Tuesday 23rd of August.
If you like coming home to a waggly tail, kisses and love, then Walter is the man for you. If you own another dog, we encourage a meet and greet of your dog, before a trial period is arranged.

Adoption details
Wally's Doggie Rescue offers a 2 week trial period to ALL pups/dogs adopted by us. We give ongoing support to our adopters through a CLOSED FACEBOOK page where you can ask training questions, share your photos and chat to other people who have adopted a Wally's Doggie rescue animal. Wally's Dog Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family and allow their dogs inside of the home on a regular basis to ensure that they are part of the family. This is particulary so if they are to be an only dog.
When enquiring about Walter, please give us some indication of the type of home that he would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home (rental agreement to be sited), what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you. Wally's Doggie Rescue would also arrange a yard check of your property or have photos/videos sent of your yard, to ensure your yard is fully fenced and adequate shelter is provided.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
