About Sam
Sam found his way into rescue after suffering some horrific, extensive wounds on his neck and then subsequently was surrendered into Wally's care. We are unsure how he obtained the injury, but this has now healed and other than a bald spot, there is no other medical treatment required. Due to his bald spot Sam now wears a neck scarf to limit any damage he may do to himself if he scratches at his neck. He is fine with his new neck wear and happily wears it with style.
Currently in foster care with 5 dogs, an adult female cat, children and of course his foster mum and dad. Sam isn't a fan of big dogs and will give them a growl to warn them off and then run for cover! But he seems fine with the resident little foxi x dog, so would be ok in a home with small dogs. He has not shown any aggression towards the host cat in his foster home, even though she's not overly impressed about sharing HER home and just ignores her.
This gorgeous boy loves kids and enjoys a good snuggle. He currently sleeps on a child's bed each night and hasn't attempted to bite or scratch his human fosters at all. Sam is fully toilet trained, will eat anything and has a huge appetite. Loud noises do frighten Sam and his trust in people is increasing each day.
Sam has also recently worked out that if he sits next to the kitchen bench around 7am every morning when his foster mum is making sandwiches for her human children, he is usually lucky enough to score a handful of lunch meat, just because he has the cutest face.
Although Sam has had a rough start to life, he is already beginning to come out of his shell and show off his cheeky side! He may have been caught on the kitchen bench checking out the remains of what was cooked in the frying pan for dinner (had cooled), and whilst this was not showing good manners, his carer is happy to see him starting to show more personality. Sam also loves to hide under the bed and pounce out and scare you when his foster mum is getting dressed for work.
Sam would suit a home with/without another cat, but preferably not big dogs. He would quite happily snooze on someone's bed all day!
All vet work is complete and comes microchipped, desexed, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and vet health checked. Sam is in foster care at Cooranbong on the Central Coast, NSW and available for adoption now.

Adoption details
Please contact Fiona via email should you wish to meet Sam. If enquiring about Sam, please give us some indication of the type of home that he would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with Sam, whether you own or rent your home, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel that Sam may be suitable for you.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
