About Flaire ~ 2yo Staffy X girl (on trial 14/08/16)
Hey, let me introduce myself - My name’s Flaire. I’m a beautiful 2 year old Staffy X girl. My foster Mum thinks I’m pretty because I have permanent eyeliner and lippy. It’s true, just check out my pics.
I live with my foster Mum and Dad and my 2 teenage foster brothers. When my foster family comes home after being out for a while I get so excited I do a little dance for them - which they think is really cute. I love being part of a family. I love to spend time playing with my foster family, going for walks, getting lots of attention and pats and I make a great study buddy.
Spending lots of time with my family is really important to me. Whether they’re inside or outside I want to be involved in all the action. And if they want to take me somewhere in the car, then that’s OK too. My favourite games are tug-of-war and fetch. I especially love tug-of-war and I try really hard to pull my big foster brothers off their feet. I haven’t played with any little people yet, but I have let them pat me while I sit or stand quietly. Even though I love people and dogs,
I think birds are toys and want to chase them. I don’t know what pocket pets or cats are because I haven’t met any.
When I go for walks I like to do a lot of sniffing – you know, checking out the neighbourhood. But I walk well on the lead and know how to stop and wait before I cross the road. I love meeting new friends whether they’re the human or doggie kind. I’m a bit of a social butterfly and want to say “Hello” to every dog I see. I’m even happy to go to the vet because you never know who you’ll meet. When I’m out everyone says what a beautiful girl I am and how well behaved I am – it makes my foster Mum proud.
My house training is going OK. My foster Mum bought me this really cool doggie door so I can go in and out whenever I want. Not quite 100% in this area but I’m getting better and can go for days without disgracing myself. I know my name and come when I’m called – well most of the time anyway. I’ve just started going to dog training and I think I’m really going to like that.
I love my food and treats (I sit for treats), but I’m not food aggressive and am happy to share treats with others. I’m very quiet. I haven’t barked yet but I make happy, growly noises when I’m scratching my back on the carpet. Oh, and I love tummy rubs.
Are you an active family that needs a lot of love? If you are then I have a lot of love to give! Could you be the perfect family for me?

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
