About Cruze
A smooth and kind gentleman who loves nothing more than human attention. He is never far from your side, loves to rest his paw on your arm or have his head on your lap.
We are unsure of why he ended up in a country pound and wonder if he jumped off the back of a ute or truck. He had no injuries on arrival so his past is a mystery. Even with an old injury on his back leg he is still very agile and loves a fast run around the yard. He enjoys playing with other dogs an does his best to play at the level of that dog, meaning if they are little ge plays light, if they are bigger he enjoys the rough and tumble of doggy friendships.
He is fantastic with children, loves to play with a toy when they throw it for him to chase. He is typically interested in cats, so a controlled and respectful introduction will be required.
Adopting Cruze will never be a disappointment, he is too smoochy and loving to ever stay mad at for long. He still needs work with walking on a lead, as he tends to pull with excitement. Time and training will correct this.

Medical notes
Previous back leg injury, checked by the vets while under anesthetic and being desexed. Vet has stated its an old injury which has healed appropriately. Like any injury as we age it may cause some pain, easily controlled with pain relief.

OUR ADOPTION PROCESS
1. You see a dog you like.
2. Fill in our online adoption form by clicking here or on our website. Be sure to include any questions you may have on our adoption form. This form does not obligate you to adopt, it simply gives us an idea of your situation and needs.

3. If your are successful, one of our volunteers will contact you to organise a meet and greet at your home and conduct a yard check at the same time.
4. Should all go to plan, you will be welcomed to start your 2 week trial period immediately. Adoption fee will be required to be paid at the beginning of the trial period.
During the 2 week trial period, should you decide that this dog is not for you, you are welcome to return the dog (the more notice the better, to ensure we have a foster carer available) and your payment will be retunded to you in full, within 3 business days of the return of the dog.

We are a volunteer run organisation, who have their own jobs during the day, we don't have someone manning our phones 24/7, therefore cannot respond to all inquiries immediately. The fastest way to have your questions answered is to include it in the application form. This will speed up your application with us, and help us communicate with you faster.
Please be patient with us, as the unpredictable nature of rescue may prevent us from clearing all enquiries regularly.
