About Bluey (Cat/Dog Friendly)
It’s morning. I’m awake and go straight outside to do my business. I never go inside the house (even if it’s raining), I’m a gentleman! Okie, now I’m looking around, I find a toy… A ball… I love balls! I’m not sleepy anymore. I start to play. I don't mind playing by myself, but if my foster bro and sis are around, I’ll make sure they play with me. I make them play first, and then I run away from them. I’m a very agile dog and it’s impossible to catch me! They try their best, but I’m better than all of them. I run and run and run, and jump and hide and fall, but the ball is still in my mouth… I’m super enthusiastic about the game, but my siblings are tired now.
Here's mum with our brekkie! I’ve not said good morning to her yet, so I sit, and ask her to pat me. She pats me only if I sit, then she makes me stay and look at my food. So I do. I don’t touch my food, even though I’m very hungry.
Brekkie is done and it’s time for some rest. Yes, I do rest as well… with my ball next to me.
Time for a big walk. My leash is on and here we go. I put my head on my foster mum or dad when they drive a car. This way I feel I am connected with them.
Paaaaaark! Here we are. WATEEEEER!!! I jump straight in for a swim. I love water. I love running. I love playing. I love saying hi to other dogs. I wiggling my tail at everyone. Yes, come and say hi to me!
I don’t venture far from my foster parents. Hang on… BIRD! There’s a bird… I’m running to say hi, but mum calls me back. I run back to her. I’m very proud of my recall.
Now we’re home and it’s time for some training. I get super excited when my humans teach me different commands, and can’t wait to get my reward.
Zzzzzz, I’m asleep in my crate. My homie cat is licking my ears, but I really don’t mind. I think cats are from a different civilisation, I respect them. And never offend them.
I’m dreaming of my forever home… A BIG yard or, better still, a property! And an active family who has as much energy as me!
Here’s a quick word from my foster carer…
Bluey LOVES his humans and if he is to be an in an only dog at home, he would need someone to be home with him, or have the option of coming to work with you. This boy is super smart and an extremely focused energy ball! There is no doubt that Bluey will need an active person/family to keep him entertained and happy, but you will also need to have the knowledge and experience of owning a working breed dog. Commitment to training is strongly recommended so that Bluey grows up to be a well-mannered and sociable boy.
Wyong Dog Training Club will provide 3 free dog training sessions http://wyongdogtrainingclub.org.au/ . So please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and Bluey.

Wally's Doggie Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
