About Roger
Do you ever wonder what happens when your use by date expires in the home and the family no longer want you well that's what happened to Roger. His old owner dropped him at an Animal Shelter in Sydney and walked away. Now this darling boy was so confused and frightened one minute in his normal home with his daily routine the next cast adrift.
Well he dropped weight too frightened to eat in the pound and being a little shaky on his feet he just stayed in the corner. Well people walked past and showed no interest in this darling. Well his time came and we thought he deserves a chance and so Roger came into our care and has decided that there are people out there who do care about him.
So Roger is in care at Kurri Kurri and he is a mature aged dog of medium size mixed blend he weighs in at 28 kilos and we think he may have just turned ten years of age.
Now its anyone's guess but we think he is a German Shepherd x Labrador. Gentle natured and still coming to terms with his fellow rescue dogs we would prefer Roger go to a home as the only dog.
He loves to hang about with you and we can see him sitting with an older person or mature aged couple watching tv and sharing their lives.
This darling boy does not expect much a warm bed, a full tummy and just a quiet home where he can be your daily companion.
Roger does have some arthritis, but is now having cartrophen injections which have helped him and with proper diet and warm bedding this will ease his stiffness. He is not too bad on his legs, he potters around the garden quite happily and loves snoozing in the sun.
So if you have a heart for this darling old boy then contact Pauline on mobile 0401 024 058 we couldn't give up on him like his old owner did he deserves a loving home.
Medical notes
Roger is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated C5 and has been flea treated and wormed. He will come with a new doona bed to ensure he is comfortable in his new home.
