Butch & Max - Glen of Imaal Terriers(Trial 13/8/16

Butch (10yrs) and Max (7yrs) are a bonded pair of male purebred Glen of Imaal Terriers. These boys were show dogs, and came into care after their much loved owner passed away.

Their breed is listed with the following temperaments:
‘Spirited, Gentle, Agile, Loyal, Courageous, Active; Indoors he wants to be near you -- resting his head on your lap or feet -- so is often underfoot. Yet his general nature is patient, laid-back, and undemanding, unusual for a terrier.”
and these boys certainly follow these descriptions.

Butch is the boss and Max doesn't argue with him, he just goes along for the ride. They are great guys and love being with you all the time. Butch and Max are excellent with kids of all sizes. They get on well with other dogs. Their favourite things are going for walks & eating.

They haven’t been tested with cats & pocket pets. They are fine being left during the day when their carer is at work, as long as they are inside of a night and whenever someone is home. The boys are housetrained, but sometimes need reminding.

They are good inside dog, and if you have a favourite lounge chair don’t always think you are going to sit in it, unless you’re quick. They love attention and love being groomed. The boys have no health issues and will amaze you how fast they can run.

They love sleeping on the beds (dogs & humans) and will stick to their own sides. They must be kept on lead or in closed yard as they will take of if given the chance and won’t come if called.
