Harry - Maltese x (on trial for 21/08/16)

Hi, My name is Harry.. I’m a handsome 9 month old Maltese x.I have a very happy, friendly and outgoing personality.
I’m quite the outgoing type of boy and just love to meet new people. I can get a little bit excited when I see new people arrive at my foster home, I quietly hope they will all give me a little pat at the least but I really just want a cuddle, I just love people.
I enjoy quiet time snuggling up with my foster family having a nice doggy nap inside in the warm. The lounge is my favourite place. I enjoy sleeping on the end of my foster family’s bed however I do enjoy sleeping in my own bed beside her bed. Although I love a nice warm cosy home, I equally enjoy spending some time outside. I am an inside dog, but I can be active and playful so I do fancy some periods, when supervised to keep me out of mischief, outside to run around on a nice patch of grass in a safe and good sized fenced yard. I love to chase a ball around the yard with my big (human) foster brother. I always have a good time when I go for a short walk, it helps me to burn some of my energy and when I come home I just need some time to chill out and rest. I just relish in being able to trot down the street and look around to see what all the neighbours and friends are doing- I don’t try and run into their yards, I just social boy and maybe a little bit of a sticky beak.
I feel like I have to keep you company, I have enormous amounts of love and affection to give. I aspire to just please you, my forever family, to complete my life goal my forever family need to have someone home most of the time with me.
I’m eager to learn, I love to be praised with an excited voice and a happy hug but thanks to my foster mum; I have discovered what treats are and I do think they are very delicious. I also enjoy chewing on treat sticks; they keep me entertained for a while.
I’m still learning basic commands, my foster family have been working with me on this but with your time and patience, we can work together to improve my skills and manners. I go to the toilet outside, my foster family let me out to go and do my business and I come back inside when I’m finished. Learning toilet training has been tricky for me at times, unfortunately I still have accidents. I have improved but there is still room for improvement, with your patience I sure we can do this together.
My favorite activity is bath time! I even surprised my foster Mum with how much I love to have a bath. I’ve even tried to sneak into the shower when no one was looking, but I haven’t been successful yet. My coat is white and fluffy, it can be well maintained with a wash and brush however an trim and tidy up is essential to keep my looking like a spunky little man.

I love meal time! It’s one of my favourite times of day. I do get worried that I will miss out on food at meal time and treat time so I can become a bit protective of my food. My foster family believe it would be best for me to be an only dog. I have also shown to my foster family that I appear to be a little frightened of big dogs. I don’t have any reservations being an only dog, I can provide you with more love than my love for Smackos!
I have lots of love to give and my foster family have been wonderful for me but I would love a forever family of my own!
