About Occy - Maltese x Pomeranian (on trial 19/08/16)
Introducing Occy, well Octavius but Occy for short, a handsome 10 month Maltese X Pomeranian. Occy is a sweet playful boy and jam packed with personality.
Occy is a gorgeous well behaved young man, a tiny 4kg or so, but a great little watch dog and lots of fun to have around. Occy is great with kids of all ages & small to medium dog’s .Occy's gorgeous fine coat will require regular brushing & grooming.
Occy is being house trained and learning basic command, ongoing training will be needed to ensure that he can the best dog he can be.
Occy is an inside dog whenever someone is home and sleeping inside, but is fine outside whilst the family are at work as long as he has a play mate to rumble with. Occy travels well in the car and walks well on the lead.
Occy is in foster care with his brother Olaf, who is also available for adoption. Occy hasn’t been tested with large dogs, cats or pocket pets.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
