Meg - Cat, Dog Friendly.

Sweet young Meg is an active young girl with a spring in her step and is cat and dog friendly.

She's gentle, loving and will make the best family pet if adopted by the right person willing to spend the time to train her to her full potential and help her build her confidence.

She is quite timid when she first meets people and is unsure if they are going to be nice to her. She can be a little flighty when approached but if you crouch down and talk to her calmly she will happily trot over for a pat and cuddle.
For this reason she would be best suited to a quiet home without small children and we have reduced her adoption fee as we feel it would benefit her best if her new owner/s invest in some obedience training to help her blossom.

Meg walks beautifully on a lead attached to her collar along side you without pulling, excited by the adventures ahead. She is happy to meet other dogs, at first may appear unsure but with some calm encouragement and a warning tone from her human telling her its ok she settles and gets along well. She is currently in foster care with several other dogs both male and female as well as two resident cats who she is happy to gently play with.

When playing freely in the backyard with all her foster bothers and sisters she can be dominate particularly with other female dogs but again once given a warning tone by her human foster mum she responds quickly and calms down. This appears to be due to her young age and lack of experience as to whats appropriate play and whats not. I am very confident with further training this will continue to improve over time.

At night she sleeps inside in a crate. She is quiet all night and only disturbs when she hers us wake up at which time she asks to go out to the toilet.

Meg is happy in the back yard during the day but will bark if she hears strange noises.

In summary, Meg is a young girl needing someone to take her under their wing and show her what life as a pet dog is really like. I suspect she has not experienced this before and somehow found herself dumped at the pound to die.

She needs to be shown not all people are mean and can't be trusted and that she will have regular meals a warm bed and someone to cuddle and play with. In return she will be a loyal dog and your best friend.

Meg needs to go to a home without small children as they can be loud somewhat rushed in their approach and this would be intimidating for her. It is essential she attends training to help strengthen her bond and trust with her new owner/family.

From experience while shes been in foster care a home with an older more laid back dog would be ideal as she'll get the company she desires but not the encouragement to get up to mischief that she might with a younger dog if left to their own devises during the day for long periods.
