About Miss Kitty
Miss Kitty is adapting well to strokes and attention, after only recently being taken to the pound by her owners due to her inability to live harmoniously with other felines.
She is naturally affectionate, and loves to sit on laps and lie beside you on the bed. She gives good purr, and welcomes you with a quiet miaow. She is welcoming to friends who drop by. She also enjoys a good play with a piece of string or her mouse toys.
When first fostered, she had a habit of biting or bopping you with her front paws if she grew tired of strokes, or was not keen on being stroked in that area. However, after only a few weeks of gentle training, she (mostly) remembers to use a lick or a gentle jaw, and to retract her claws, if she feels the need to ask you to stop. Despite this quick learning, she may be unsuitable for interaction with children as a result.
She readily appears and comes to you when invited with a 'pwpwpwpw' sound, and responds well to quiet commands to stop, such as no, tut, etc. She loves her food, but doesn't demand it.
All in all, it appears she will thrive and return affection in a loving and gentle environment without feline competition.
Miss Kitty is ready and waiting for her permanent home.

Our animals are rescued from various pounds and shelters and placed in Foster Care until a permanent home can be found. Our volunteer Foster Carers are located throughout Sydney, Australia and are only too happy to assist you.
DCH Animal Adoptions relies solely on our adoption fees and the generous support of the community to continue our rescue work. Many times, we are faced with large veterinary bills due to the illness and injury that comes along with looking after pound rescues.
