About Eric
Hi there! I'm Eric (I got my name because I'm a robust boy but I'm not fat, I'm just big-boned).
I am a super social, confident and affectionate fellow and my foster mum says that in some ways having me is kind of like having an agile, purry little dog! I like to follow people around and stick my nose into what is going on - only because I would like to help you with it, of course!
I get on well with other cats and am also fine with dogs and kids - could you ask for more of an all-rounder? I am neat and tidy with my litter tray, not fussy with food and I use a scratchy pole not the furniture. I really am just an excellent little guy with a super cute face to match my adorable temperament! What more could you ask for? I'm not a fading wallflower, so I will suit a home who really wants to engage with their cat. I will greet you at the door in the evening and am still young enough that I love to play games with toys (with you or on my own).
So, you ask, what is the catch? Surely I can't be this perfect! That's where you're wrong! If you could pick any fault with me perhaps it could simply be that I love you too much... so forget ever going to the toilet alone again.
Medical notes
Eric has had a mild case of ringworm recently. Ringworm is (confusingly!) not a worm at all, it is in fact a fungal skin infection almost identical to athlete's foot in humans.
In cats it causes skin irritation and hair loss. Eric was very mildly affected, with just one spot of ringworm on his ear. This has been treated with cream which has caused the surrounding hair to fall out too, so at the moment he has a rather odd looking bald ear.
But the up-shot is that his ringworm is now healed and it is just a case of waiting for the hair to grow back!
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view one of our lovely animals. We love them all and we hope you will too.
If you would like to know more about an animal please call Freedom on 0409 000 259. If it sounds like you and the furry creature are a suitable match then we will pass on the foster carer’s details to you so you can call and make a time to meet them.
Once you have met the animal and wish to go further then we may organise a yard check to ensure that your yard is safe and secure (dogs only). You can then take your new family member home on a 2 week trial and if you decide they are not suitable then you can return them.
If you are not sure how existing animals in your home might be affected, or you want a little extra time to get to know the nature of the animal, we may allow you to foster with a view to adopt.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
