About Finja
**We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at http://www.maggiesrescue.org/adoption-enquiry-dogs. Please use this link rather than the 'find out more' button on the pet's PetRescue profile.**
FINJA (the Fat Ninja) is the most lovable little chap imaginable! He adores other dogs, warm laps, snuggling on the bed and, maybe more than anything, a good meal. (He's not just big boned!)
This sweet young fellow has ears like velvet, and the most soulful brown eyes that gaze up at you. He is a quiet beagle who rarely barks, and he wants nothing more than companionship.
Finja has a pain condition called Beagle Pain Syndrome (please see Medical Notes below). He'd hate for this to deter you! - he loves life so much and has so much love to give. He'll reward a responsible and experienced dog owner with endless laughter and loyalty.
MY IDEAL HOME: If I could write a wish list, I'd ask for a home with some other doggy pals to keep me company, and an adoring human or two. I would like a secure yard, a warm lap, and a warm bed (preferably yours!).
If dreams REALLY came true, I would *love* to go to a home with another beagle.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Medium, overall. I get the zoomies up and down the hall, and enjoy the odd romp around my local enclosed dog park, but then I like to sleep the rest the day. If you lead an active lifestyle though, I'll happily keep up!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I would best suit a mature household.
MY SUITABILITY TO DOGS AND CATS: As a pack-oriented beagle, I just love living with two other dogs in foster care! I feel sad when they go anywhere without me.
I haven't met any cats at this stage.
*In foster care in Campsie, Sydney*
Medical notes
I have a medical condition that can flare up and cause me pain - Beagle Pain Syndrome. http://www.beaglepro.com/beagle-pain-syndrome
At the moment I don't have any symptoms of my condition and I am not on any medication. When I get a flare up, I need to go on steroids, a pill a day.
Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at http://www.maggiesrescue.org/adoption-enquiry-dogs. Please use this link rather than the 'find out more' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in adopting.
Maggie's wants this to be a good experience for you, and we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of this period we will transfer the microchip to your details and the adoption is complete.
Your pet is a Maggie's Pet for Life, please consider this before adopting.
