About Honey ~ Shar Pei x Mastiff (on trial 12/09/16)
My Name is Honey and I am a 1 year old Shar-pei x Mastiff girl looking for my forever home!
I am an active dog who absolutely loves people! I am very loyal and will take any chance I can get for a cuddle and a pat. I’m good with other dogs my size but true to Shar-pei breed I can be quite dominant, so would best suit a home where I can rule the roost or have another doggie friend my size or bigger to keep me company through the day if my family isn't home.
I am completely house trained and am more than happy to sleep outside as long as my forever family are happy to let me inside throughout the day and evening so I can get some cuddles before bed.
I do like going for walks but not sure why I need a lead, so my foster mums says I need some more training in that department.
I will need an active family who will walk me each day and spend time playing my favourite games with me! My forever home with a suitable backyard and I would LOVE another doggie playmate.
If you think Honey is a good sort who you'd love to spoil and snuggle, please contact Lauren on 0431 551 446, Honey is in foster care in Elermore Vale NSW (near Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Honey's adoption fee is $350 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
