SPECIAL FOSTER CARER NEEDED

Hi I'm Jaxon and I'm an 18 month old husky x boy. I'm looking for a very special person to be my foster carer to help with learning to trust people again. The exact details of my past are unknown however it is clear that my past hasn't been a very positive one as I'm scared of many things.

I'm a very nervous boy who will bark at people when frightened - I'm not mean or nasty - just very scared. I’m very nervous of men but with time and patience I do warm up to them. I would love to find an experienced dog lover single or couple who can take over and commit to helping me trust people and social environments. Once I know you I'm loving and enjoy affection so the reward of earning my trust is so worth it.

My perfect foster home would be a quiet one with no children, a safe and secure yard to play in and perhaps one other adult friendly dog who can be a good role model for me. Once I’m settled I’m very playful with other dogs. My perfect foster parents will be committed, have lots of patience, be experienced with fearful dogs and behaviour modification using positive techniques and willing to commit until I'm ready for adoption . They will preferably be local to the Newcastle or Central Coast areas so they can receive support from Dog Rescue Newcastle trainers via phone, email and one on one visits when required.

I’m a good boy who responds well to routine and consistency – I feel more confident when I’m close to you for comfort (especially out walking). Working with me to help me will be an experience that you will never forget - I will be a challenge however it’s special cases like me which is what dog rescue is all about. I will love you to the moon and back if given the chance to let my guard down.
