Brax ~ Shih Tzu x ~ on trial 27/8/16

Hi my name is Brax and I'm a happy, friendly 3 year old Maltese x Shih-Tzu who is an absolute delight. I’m a little pocket rocket - I love life and everything life entails. I enjoy saying hello to new people and I have no reservations about introducing myself to anyone – especially your guests. I love treats (I will sometimes sneak them out of your treat bag) and affection and will happily launch myself into your lap for cuddles and kisses. I'm looking for my perfect furever family so I'd love to meet you if you have that special place in your lives for an effervescent companion like me!

I'm in foster care as an only dog but I’m great with other dogs. My perfect home would be one with another small, energetic dog of a similar size as me who I can run around with. I’m also content to be an only dog as long as I receive lots of affection from my humans and can visit other dogs when we are out and about. When my foster mum goes out on errands I’m happy to stay inside without getting up too much mischief. I don’t bark when she leaves either - I’m just happy to munch on a chew treat whilst you pop out. When you come home (even after only a quick outing) I’m so excited that I jump around in glee like you’ve been gone forever.

I have a cute under-bite that will make you laugh a little. My breed mix is Shih Tzu x however I have a long body like a Lhasa Apso – no matter what my breed mix is I’m exceptionally cute right?

Due to my affectionate and friendly manner I’d thrive in a home with older kids (over 12/13 years) who will play with me. I’m very jumpy when I’m excited so older kids who are used to bubbly energetic dogs are best. I love walking so if you go for walks each day I'll help keep you company. I also enjoy car rides with you – anything where I am by your side.

I’m an inside dog mostly, although I do enjoy a run around the yard - I’d enjoy some grass to play on especially if you have kids and another dog. I sleep inside on my foster mum’s bed as its cosy and warm there. I used to be an outside dog so I’m new to toilet training – I do have accidents inside and I will accidently go to the toilet when I’m excited meeting new people. My new family will need to understand that I will have accidents when adopted and they will need to work with me on my toilet training and manners. I love taking your slippers and collecting them in my bed – I don’t chew them I just love to have a piece of you close to me.

I have a low shedding coat which needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 8 weeks) to keep me comfortable and exceptionally pretty.

I enjoy my cuddle time, however I’m very bubbly so I’m not just a quiet little lap dog. I’m as cute as a button boy with loads of character so I’d love to meet you!
