About Blair
Hi my name's Blair. I was saved from the pound just recently and I've now had my vet work done and ready to go!
My carers say I have it all, great looks, fantastic athleticism and a bright mind to boot!
I am described as an intelligent, playful fast learner. I absolutely love to show off my shake-a-paw and high-five skills, and am super motivated by food so will learn new tricks very quickly with food rewards.
I am a big sporty gal who enjoys lots of exercise, chasing a ball and going for daily walks, but activities like agility or maybe even fly-ball, would be good as I'm a challenge-seeking pooch! I definitely need something to keep both me physically and mentally busy.
We are working on perfecting my on-lead manners, an currently learning how to walk in the heel position. This all being said, a physically active family, individual or couple who is committed to regular and consistent training is a must.
My socialisation is improving every day, but I still get very excited around other dogs. Did we mention i love to play? But we are learning that a calm greeting helps me make friends easier. Cats and small animals are a big source of interest to inquisitive me, after all, who wouldn't want to investigate those strange things that fly, hop and zip across my path during walks? I am only a puppy and have lots to learn. Do lots of socialising is very important for me.
I am currently being crate trained, and I let you know when I need to go to the toilet. I also am great with children, but can be a bit jumpy and bouncy, but I am after all still a puppy.
The one thing I definitely need is plenty of chew toys when left alone. I tend to get a bit bored when my humans aren't around, and apparently until I learn to channel surf or shop online, chew toys will have to do.
I currently live with a bohemeth of a French mastiff called Bruce and we get on extremely well together so would be great in a home with another dog.
So my perfect home would be where my humans understand that I am still a puppy and I will need brain and physical activity every day and socialising and obedience training as an ongoing commitment.
