About Rex ~ Blue Cattle Dog, 3yo (on trial 18/09/16)
Rex is a 3 year old Blue Cattle Dog. He was surrendered by his owners because they were relocating overseas and could not afford to take their dogs with them.
Rex will sit and also wait for permission before eating. He sleeps outside but enjoys some inside time. He is an active boy and loves to play chasies with his foster sister and little brother and go for walks. He would be better suited with older children, 10 and up, just because he might accidently knock over a small child with his enthusiasm.
Rex may be a little timid as first but once he settles in he adores lots of cuddles and pats and if you forget, he will gently remind you by nudging your hand. If you want a fun loving, happy, affectionate young dog then Rex is your boy.
For more information or to meet Rex, please contact his foster carer Jill on 0422 124 717 or email jd-marchant@hotmail.com. Rex is in foster care in Tanilba Bay, NSW (Port Stephens, north of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Rex's adoption fee is $350 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
