About Special Needs Violet
Violet is one of the original nine Shih Tzu that came from the hoarding situation probably one of the worst :-(
Violet is very sweet and inoffensive and has suffered most of her life in filth, and so matted she could hardly walk she was kept in a confined area so movement was very restricted. She now though has regained a lot of strength in her back legs but still walks a bit "funny " but gets around fine now, she does sleep a lot but she looooves her food especially roast chicken , she is partially blind but can see enough to get around quite well.
She went in for de sexing and a dental and to have some cancerous lumps removed :-( but when our vet tried to remove her uterus he discovered a massive tumor which was removed ...it was the size of a small fist .... he also realized there were a lot more lumps than originally known and an x ray revealed a shadow on her lung .... so after discussions we have decided that it would be to much for her to cope with having them all removed for possibly little benefit ...
We don t know how long Violet has got left to live but we want that time to be full of love and happiness for her, she is recovering from the Tumor removal and we truly hope she must feel better without that in her life..
She really is no trouble and is happy to curl up on her own and rest but we want more for her as she has been deprived all her life .
If you think you can help Violet we can have a chat to you and work something out :-)
