About Ascot
It doesn’t matter that she can’t hear the music – she is the life of the party.
This little girl which I like to call a ‘frenchie gone wrong’ is mostly deaf. Although throughout her care with me, she hears when I tell her to get out of the food but then wont hear a car or the door open, so, I'm calling her a fibber!. When she came into care she was a crazy rocket jumping with joy everywhere and had no training at all. Now walk around your house and she will run and sit in front of you as she know she gets the cuddles she longs for with good behaviour.
Ascot has a special look to her. She is only reasonably small but a square head and ears that come out of nowhere! And if the ears don’t grab your heart, her eyes will. She has one brown eye and one white/blue eye. This unique look is for a very special girl.
She loves her walks and any outdoors adventure. Due to her hearing Ascot must be on leash at all times as she can become a Dora the Explorer, too excited on what the world has to offer, she will keep exploring without you.
Ascot was bulletproof with all dogs and a happy go-lucky girl, always a social butterfly, however due to an adopter error she has lost her confidence. Ascot is relearning that all dogs are great and she has nothing to fear when meeting new ones. She has come a tremendous way in care and all it takes is the right introduction and Ascot is comfortable again to play.
Ascot needs a family that will ensure positive, on leash walks, with friendly dogs to continue her training. After a walk for 10mins together and she trusts the other dog - it's game time. She loves running and wrestling with other dogs and when she runs and plays its like she is a bull in the rodeo, kicking and bucking and enjoying life. She has picked up a few stalking techniques of her walking dog friends which always is a laugh to watch. And when she pounces she throws herself like a canon ball into the competitor.
At home she is in her element crawling along the lounge to sneak up next to you or lay on your chest for cuddles. She currently sleeps happily in a crate or will try to stay still on the lounge, curled up so you don’t move her. She is also house trained and I've started using hand signals with training.
She is the best foster mum currently doing a fantastic job being a good role model and baby sitter for our foster pups. She is also great at baby sitting the kids. She loves kids! She is gentle and loves playing with them in the cubby house.
Ascot is looking for a family that will explore the world with her. She has the energy to go anywhere with you and will thrive from an outgoing family. Someone to listen, continue and be dedicated to her training that her previous life did not provide. She will need a home with another doggy companion to play the days away.
Ultimately cuddles, kisses and love is a necessity for this love bug!

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
