About Lucy ~ On Trial 27/8/16
Welcome to the ‘I Love Lucy Show!’
Lucy is a gentle and sweet 6 month year old Mastiff x Ridgeback puppy who will steal your heart. Lucy is a happy and friendly young girl - she adores making new friends and is an outgoing and affectionate sweetheart with everyone she meets.
Lucy is great with other dogs – she is currently living in foster care with two adult dogs and she is wonderful with them. She would suit a family with an existing dog, and would be fine as an only dog as well. She isn’t in foster care with children, however her gentle and loving nature would make her suitable for most children especially kids who are confident with large and gentle dogs.
Lucy is an indoor/outdoor dog and she loves inside time with her family. She sleeps inside at night time on her own bed. She is medium energy dog – she is at her happiest curled up in front of the TV but she also loves daily walks and a playful romp in the local park. She hasn’t been exposed to small pets like cats, birds or rabbits since being in foster care, so she will need a quiet and controlled introduction to make sure her curiosity doesn’t scare them.
Lucy would suit most families who have plenty of love to give and who will include her in their family life and take her on outings. One of Lucy’s favourite things in the world is human and canine companionship so she’s not suited to being on her own most of the day. With cuddles, consistency and affection, Lucy will grow into a very loving, affectionate and loyal adult dog. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies like Lucy need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Lucy is toilet trained, rarely barks and isn’t a digger either. She knows basic commands such as sit and she knows to wait for her dinner. She walks very well on lead and is therefore a pleasure on her daily walks.
If you have lots of love to give, and a warm cosy inside bed where she can curl up at night then please contact Kristina on email kikii1987@hotmail.com or phone 0430 110 760 . Lucy is in foster care in Tighes Hill, NSW (Newcastle area).
Lucy's adoption fee is $400 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
