About Clancy
Meet Clancy a 4 year old Labrador Mix female, saved by wally's Doggie Rescue from Singleton Pound.
Clancy is finding her place in this world, and is in foster care in a family environment with children and other dogs. Clancy can be timid and on the defensive when first meeting other dogs, but it now doesn't take long for her to realise they aren't out to hurt her. She will then happily interact and play with them and even submits to other dogs if they decide to have a go at her. She gets along with all dogs, big and small. Clancy is very timid and frightened when meeting new people especially men but her confidence is building everyday. She follows her foster Mum around and sits at her feet and loves cuddles. She's quite affectionate and LOVES her human children aged 8 and 12. She spends evenings and cold windy days inside and sleeps with Winnie another foster dog in care, in the laundry.
Clancy will bark when she hears strangers out the front or unusual noises so would definitely let you know if someone was hanging around and doesn't winge to come back inside when she is put outside. Clancy patiently waits until she is allowed to come back inside. This gorgeous girl can SIT and WAIT for her food. She has had very limited experience walking a lead and requires more training with this. Clancy is responding well, to harness that goes over her face and nose. Clancy has shown no food aggression towards people or other dogs.
The Perfect forever home would be with older kids, but can homed with no kids. Someone that has confidence with bigger dogs and can continue her basic obedience training. She would probably prefer another dog but I don't think it's imperative in her new home, but a part time worker is preferred or some one home often. .
No Pocket Pets or Cats.

Adoption details
When enquiring about Clancy, please give us some indication of the type of home that she would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home, what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you.
Wally's Dog Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
To kickstart my training, Wyong Dog Training Club will provide 3 FREE dog training sessions
http://wyongdogtrainingclub.org.au/. So please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and Clancy.
Wally's Doggie Rescue likes all of our rescues to be adopted into families that will continue their socialisation and allow their dogs inside of the home on a regular basis to ensure that they are part of the family. This is particulary so if they are to be an only dog.
If there are other dogs in the family we encouraged you to bring along your existing dog to meet Clancy.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
