About Stella
A day in the life of Stella….Snuggled up in my cozy safehouse (crate), the house awakens and it’s time to venture outdoors to relieve our bladders. I am so NOT a morning dog and seek out the sun to continue my much loved sleep. I usually snooze for a couple more hours in the warmth of the sun before the smell of breakfast hits me. Ok, I’m awake! Tail wagging, smiling and ready to face the day. I’ve been taught not to touch my food until given the ok, so I’m happy to sit there and just watch it until the signal is given. With breakfast done, I’m ready to play!
I do love to have a run with the other dogs in my foster home, my host dog, Zara is especially fun to chase. And just like that, the morning is over. Time to recharge the batteries for our much loved outing in the afternoons. Once again, I seek out the sunshine and sleep…
My foster family take us on some big adventurous walks and my foster mum knows this makes me the happiest big dog ever. I run, jump through the water, will chase the other dogs but will never venture too far from my foster mum and dad. They make me feel safe and know where they are at all times. My foster mum says I’m pretty streetwise and with my strong sense of smell, my head is like GPS navigation on your phone. Tired and hungry, we head home to enjoy dinner and settle for the night.
I’ve come a long way in my foster home, but do take some time to settle into new surroundings and people. If I was to be an only dog in my new home, I would most certainly need my humans around me majority of the time. I would also be a big lazy teddy bear because other active dogs motivate me to run and play. On the other hand, if I was to have a doggie companion (preferably a brother), I think that would definitely help me to settle into my new home quicker and keep me active and entertained, and therefore super happy.
Toilet trained, perfect on leash, great recall, will sit on command and an absolute LOVE of children. I’m a gentle giant who is looking for the laid back lifestyle and unconditional love that comes from a totally committed family. You’ll find me in Silverwater, NSW (near Morisset) where I’m hanging out with my foster family.

Wally's Doggie Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
