About Willow ~ Mastiff x Labrador (on trial 10/08/16)
Willow is a Mastiff x Labrador, 6 months old and an absolute delight. She is still discovering the world and she is doing it in the cutest possible way. Willow makes friends quickly and with everyone, dog, cat, adult or child. She currently lives with a staffy whom she LOVES to wrestle, and is who is teaching her to be a polite pup. Her other foster sister is a whippet who is too small to wrestle, so instead they do zoomies around the yard together. Willow keeps her distance from the resident cat out of respect and has never shown any signs of wanting chase her.
Although very excited and playful, WIllow immediately calms down when there are small children around and is careful not to knock them over. She would love a family who could walk her daily and would enjoy exploring new places with her. If you love the idea of lap dog who also loves to play whenever the opportunity arises, Willow is the girl for you.
Willow is incredibly well behaved on a lead and sits on command, waits for her dinner and is completely house trained. On occasion she will wake you up in the night if she needs to go out, but if she cannot wake you she will wait. She is quiet and well behaved in the car and likes to have a blanket to snuggle into.
Willow’s perfect home would be a family, single or couple who are looking for a true companion and additional family member. She is active and needs playtime and stimulation, either from the humans or another dog to play with. Though she should be walked daily, if she has access to a yard to run around in the occasional missed walked doesn’t phase her.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
