About George (and Mack)
George (and Mack)
Mack and George are an absolutely delightful pair of boys who deserve the very best home. The boys are great mates and although very different in personality, are quite comfortable and happy together. For this reason, a family that is happy to adopt a pair of dogs is sought for these fellas.
George is an active, adventurous young man of 2 years of age who is very inquisitive and loves to be right in the middle of whatever is going on.
George loves to run and relishes a daily walk.
He enjoys being close but would rather lie by your side than on your lap.
George is very friendly and wants to say hello to everyone he meets. He is also fascinated by birds and will stop dead in his tracks to better observe a bird. Due to his bird fascination, he may not suit a household that keeps birds, ducks or chickens - as he is likely to like them a little too much!
George - like Mack - seems to like everyone and everything.
He loves playing and gets quite excitable. When tired, he sometimes gets grumpy and will growl and snap - though he has never attempted to bite. For this reason, George would be better suited to a family with children - who understand that sometimes - dogs - like us - need a bit of space and quiet time. George also gets a little excitable when out on a walk sometimes, and may bark at other dogs - though one on one this could be trained out quite easily.
Mack is a 7 year old Maltese who is an absolute cuddle bug. He loves to be with his favourite people - sitting watching TV of an evening, and cuddling. He snuggles right in - and absolutely melts your heart.
Mack loves to run - and enjoys regular daily walks - so an active family that can accommodate these needs - either with a large open space at home, or regular trips to a dog park or the beach, is essential.
Mack loves toys and enjoys carrying them around - but equally he enjoys pulling them apart - so perhaps no expensive playthings!
Mack appears to love everybody and everything and is a very soft natured boy - verging on sooky on occasion.
He keeps himself clean and tidy and his coat is quite easy to groom and maintain.
These boys are an adorable pair and will make a family very happy. Please do not apply if you are not able to take them both as they will not be separated. Thanks.
Adoption details
If you are interested in one of our dogs, please send us an email at: hopespringseternaldogrescue@gmail.com in the first instance telling us who you are interested in, and why. We will then send you an adoption application to complete.
At a minimum, we will expect that all of our dogs will be inside/outside dogs and will be treated as a valued member of the family.
If your family needs match the needs of the dog, we will call you to discuss further and arrange a time for you to meet the puppy you are interested in.
If this goes well and you are keen to proceed, we will organise a mutually convenient time with you to undertake a fence/home check - and for the dog you are interested in to meet the rest of the family - both human and other animals.
If you feel that you would like to add the dog to your family, we will ask you to pay the adoption fee and the dog will commence a 4 week trial period - for all of you (both humans and pets) to make sure that you will all be happy living together. We will check in on you during this time and will be available to respond to any concerns you may have during this period.
If everyone is happy at the conclusion of the trial, we will transfer the microchip and provide you with any medical records and information we have on the dog you have adopted.
We will take the dog back into care at any time - if things do not work out - and we appreciate that sometimes - they just don't - for a number of reasons.
We will ask for a happy snap of the dog with their new family members for our adoption gallery and will ask whether we can use that in promoting our rescue on Facebook, the Internet or other promotional materials.
We want the process of adoption to be a happy and exciting time for you and your potential new family member and will work with you to make the experience as positive as possible.
