Hi everyone my name is Athena!

I'm looking for my new forever home and I know I will win your heart over.

I am a big goofy girl who just loves lots of affection. The big wide world makes me a little nervous so a family who could support me through these little issues would be ideal. I will need an owner who is going to be patient with me and who will give me lots of love.

As I can be a little timid in new environments or with new people it is important that you introduce me to these things slowly. I love to hang out with people I know and some special quiet time in front of the TV with you would suit me just fine. I also love to play I can't wait to run around the backyard with you and all of my new toys!

I am very selective with other dogs. I have had ongoing training at the shelter because I liked to bark at other dogs when I go on walks. I am trying hard to walk nicely on leash too and do best when walked on a harness. It is important that this training is continued in my new home and this will help us work as a team! I have been matched up with another dog before so I can try to be friends with your dog too but I would much prefer to be the only dog in your household.

I can get a little bored when I am left at home alone so please make sure you leave me with lots to do and keep me mentally stimulated with lots of toys kongs pigs ears peanut butter smears scatter feeding and raw meaty bones.
