About Cookie ~ 3yo Moodle X Poodle (On Trial 16/8/16)
Cookie is a tiny 3 year old Moodle x Toy Poodle boy with a bubbly, endearing personality. He is at his happiest when cuddled up in the lap of his human. His cream-coloured ringlets reflect his bouncy personality, and make him a very handsome boy!
Cookie is wonderful with children, however, as he is only a small boy, they will need to be gentle so as not to hurt him. He is living quite comfortably alongside another dog at his foster home and has had no issues. Whilst in care, Cookie has not had any contact with other animals like cats or pocket pets so we are unsure of his behaviour with them.
Cookie is a happy little chap who spends time outside, but much prefers to live and sleep inside with his humans. He is housetrained and just needs to be let outside regularly. This clever boy responds to his name and is learning how to sit on command. Cookie doesn’t chew furniture or belongings. He will need regular grooming and due to his size must sleep inside.
Cookie eats both dry and wet food and absolutely loves meat! He is a bit of a slow eater so will just need a little bit of time at meals. Pouncing and chasing things around, particularly his rope toy, is one of his very favourite games. Cookie also enjoys walking and is very good on the lead, staying beside his human, and would suit someone who goes on shorter walks.
Whilst Cookie bravely carries an injury to his right eye socket, it really just reflects his quirky self! Cookie has so much love to give, and he will do everything in his power to snuggle up next to his human, particularly in the evenings in front of the television.
Cookie would be a perfect addition to a young family, or an older couple, but would prefer to have someone who is at home for the majority of time and who will dote on him and give him as much love and affection as he has to offer to them!

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
