“Tuesday”, The Fruit Bat. Gold Coast

Tuesday was very shy when she came into foster care, but as her trust has grown, she’s turned out to be a real character! She’s already earned several nicknames, including “Panther” for her elegant physique and colour; “Tuesday the Destroyer” for her ferocious attacks on squeaky toys; and “Fruit Bat” for her batty behaviour! Tuesday goes crazy when it’s time for a belly rub or a ride in the car (her favourite things); or just when she decides it’s time to be playful and silly. Her other quirky habits include barking welcome when her foster carers get home (unusual for a greyhound); and trying to fit herself into her water dish!

Tuesday’s still finding out about the world, so we’re not sure yet whether she’ll need another dog for company in her new home. She certainly loves having her people around her, as well as her calm canine foster sister. She’s cautious around children and strangers, but very loving once her trust is won. She’s learning to adapt to having small dogs to visit, and isn’t yet tested with cats.

Tuesday doesn’t need an active household, as an injury has left her unable to cope with too much exertion – even if she’d like to! Tuesday just hopes to find a home where her trust will be rewarded with loads of love, and delight in her hilarious antics.
