Lady

Lady is a beautiful rescue. She was an urgent save at the otherwise empty interstate pound, because they didn't want to pay staff overtime to look after her over the weekend. We agreed to save her with just over an hour to get her onto transport to safety.

She is a lovely large staffy, with a beautiful brindle coat. She arrived quite underweight, but is gaining weight rapidly. Lady has made friends here, but she can sometimes be selective about other dogs. She will stand up to an aggressive dog, so best suited to non dominant dogs or as an only dog. Lady is great with humans. You can lean all over her while she eats and she doesn't bat an eyelid, happily sharing her food bowl.

She is lovely and quiet, and travels brilliantly in a car. Lady likes to be very close to her carer. While you potter around the house, she will come to you when you bend down and put her head through your arms to essentially make you hug her. She will also come and stand quite close, but only almost touching you, so as to be polite and respectful in her request for some love. Her off leash recall needs some work, more so when she's at range than close by, but she is a pleasure to take for a walk, she doesn't pull you along on lead.

Lady is a lovely looking girl. She is quite goofy, her character is really coming out, and she gets all cute and wiggly when she welcomes you home from work. She has had a litter previously, but now desexed and ready to find her furever family.
